Your second rank up will give you your first weapon unlock. The rank after that is your next. The fastest way to rank up is to play a medic, stick around the back of the major fighting and raise people with the shock paddles. You get the most team score the fastest that way.

I might reinstall this if we can get a group going. I need to figure out the best graphic settings for my pc as well. I don't have the expansion though, are you guys just playing the base game?

I am. I don't have any of the expansions for BF 2. Tho I would like to have the euro force one. The new sniper rifle in that expansion is unlockable for use in the base maps and is so accurate it's not fair. Oh, I found out how to bypass those shitty logos and intro movies all together. Explore windows. Navigate to C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies. Delete or move every file in this folder. Voila. It also gets rid of that movie playing in the background of the game menus thus making them faster.  Anyway, I'm getting on and playing right now. |

Alright, i'm back from orientation. Gonna try and get some BF2 in tonight. Adam, were you able to bind a key to 'End'? Everytime i try to bind a key to that, or any other of those buttons there (Insert, Home, etc) on common controls, it says they are already in use on common controls... i fixed it on my old account, but i can't remember how to fix it on my new one.

I remember that being a problem, but I can't remember how it was resolved. I resolved it by swapping over to use the default movement keys, W, S, A, D, for all my FPS's, but you might try open up the console with ~ (may or may not have to be in a server) and unbinding those keys.

Ok faggots. I got the game installed and patched. I haven't booted it up yet (too much time spent in NWN lately), but I'll get around to it.
