So I got a used copy of Budokai Tenchikai and it's been eating up all my free time lately. I've been trying to unlock all the characters and actually LEARN the fighting system. That's right, I said LEARN the fighting system. It's a TON more in-depth than the other games. (No more: I attack you. You attack me. I attack you. You attack me...etc.) You can free fly around the stages, destroy mountains/buildings etc. You can still fire your powers off at anytime you want and most characters have PLENTY of powers to pick from. NONE of the powers automatically hit anymore, you've got a chance (with some SKILL and a little bit of power reserve) to dodge the powers and attacks. Not to mention it's got a HUGE lineup of characters.

Actually was going to ask you to come to my place to play. I haven't released all the characters yet (was waiting for that before I brought it over), and I haven't had a chance to try multiplayer yet, but I think it's supposed be split screen Budokai 2 style.

Did I mention Brolly is cheap as fuck? Normally combos knock your opponent into stuns and such. Brolly doesn't seem to be effected by any type of normal attack. He just stands there and takes the beating. Oh he takes damage like everyone else, but normal attacks don't stun or recoil him. Hell, they don't even interrupt his attacks. The only way I could beat him was by learning to counter attack...and let me tell you, that was a lesson learned the hard way. I don't think I've cussed at any game more than I've cussed at this one.

Ok I've got about 90% of the characters unlocked now. The only one's I'm missing are the ones you have to use the Dragonballs to wish for (that's the ONLY way to release them).
[rant]If I haven't said it before, I'm saying it now. The single player game pisses me off. They give you the crappiest character for 90% of the fights and expect you to win. In some instances you can just cheese the computer and get by with a win, but that's just not possible in some fights (Brolly fight, Mr. Satan vs Cell, Mr. Satan vs Majin Buu, Saibaman vs Frieza, etc). The character you get is just too damn weak to do anything against the other guy. Literally, some stages just require you to "Survive until time runs out" because you really have NO HOPE at all at beating the opponent.[/rant]
Anyway, we'll play tonight or something if you want Seph. However, I'll INSIST that you LEARN the fighting system, controls, maneuvers and techniques BEFORE you pick Brolly. This is really for your own good. Because Brolly really doesn't abide by the standard fighting engine rules, and the only way to compete against him is a solid understanding of the way the new fighting engine works.
