Ok, I'm depressed. I didn't realize my pc was so out of date. It's been awhile since I had money to spend on upgrading, and now that I did, I'm not impressed with the results.
I've got an Athlon XP 2800+ processor. From what I'm reading it runs at 333mhz FSB and it's a 2.08ghz processor. It's what I'm most depressed about.
Unfortuneately, the only upgrade option for my motherboard appears to be a 3800+. Which is still only 2.2ghz but has a 400mhz FSB, which my motherboard supports.
Another crappy thing is that it's been a good year or two since I've invested in a graphics card, and unfortuneatly, I bought my motherboard before PCI-Express was popular. So my BRAND NEW graphics card is an Nvida BFG 7800+ GS OC...but it's an AGP 8x card.
So looks like that's what I'm stuck with for another year. Next year is really going to suck though cause I'll have to get a new motherboard, CPU, (possibly RAM) and definitely Video Card.

Ok, been getting lots of virtual memory errors lately so I'm going to upgrade the amount of RAM I've got. Already tried raising the VM in the machine, and I still get the same problems. Ofcourse, no matter how much physical RAM you have, the machine will ALWAYS need VM, but I still shouldn't be having VM errors. So, I'm going to upgrade to 2gb of RAM and see how it does. Since my mobo only has 2 memory slots, I'll be getting rid of 2x512meg sticks of DDR SDRAM. Carl?

Is it DDR 400? I wouldn't mind another stick of 512, I still got a RAM slot open.

Yeah it's either 400 or 333. I think it's 400, but I'm only currently running it at 333 since my processor is only 333mhz FSB.
But...I bring you RAM when you take my trash for me. ;D
