I'm in the mood for NWN. Not NWN2, but NWN1. Suppose I picked up the old Scarn version and fixed it up nice and pretty...what would you want out of it? Suggestions? Wish list?

I've already reinstalled and been playing NWN for about a week now along with Entrop, Alex, Amy and a couple other people...

As for ideas and suggestions...

First and formost, I require the CEP v2.0
I'd love to see a ninja and samurai class
Goblin Spider Riders/Worg Riders
The werewolf model stolen from that White Wolf server we used to play on
I'd LOVE to see the ACP 3 (Alternate Combat Animations Pack 3) used on the server, incorporated into the hak. Yes, you can download and use it in the override form, if you wish, but if you use it in the server hak, you can change styles on-the-fly and in-game via an addition to the radial menu.

I'd like to see vampires and garou make a return, but I'd also like to vote against nerfing either to the point they aren't playable... Again. I agree they will need to be nerfed a tad to keep them in tandem with the other races, but having vampires drag a 200 lbs coffin around is just being retarded.

I'd like to see a script or checker to award experience based on the number of messages typed by a player that doesn't begin with "//" so that RP experience being rewarded doesn't require there to be a DM on at that time, tho I think this might require "listeners" following players around which I hate.

I dunno... I'll think of some more later.

Most of these sound good. I'm just shooting around ideas for now. I like the CEP 2.0 for sure, and the alternate combat animations. But I doubt I'll include the combat animations by default, since not everyone likes them.

If you include them into the server's hak, you actually have to switch ti the alternate animations thru a radial menu, otherwise you use the NWN default. Including them in the hak just makes it easier for someone to change their style (not to mention everyone will see the style they are using, unlike the override) for those who don't like them, they never have to switch to the new ones and can just stick with the default. It's win-win here. It doesn't force them to use them, just gives them the option. And in this world, options (whatever they may be) are ALWAYS a good thing.

Also, do you still have all those songs you overwrote for the NWN music? The Tangerine Dream Legend Theme, the Kill Bill music, the Conan Battle Theme, etc? If so I need to get those from you so I can put my music back to the glorious state it was in once upon a time.

Also, I was thinking about there Garou... You think they could have multiple forms? The vampires too. I think the leeches should be able to turn into a bat and mist form (mist form could make them immune to sunlight, tho they couldn't attack anything, so it would just be a useful ability to get to a spot to hide from the daylight) and Gaia's Chosen should get Chrinos and wolf/dire wolf form (I was thinking the wolf form could get a movement speed increase, not haste, so they could travel faster... They are running on all fours). Also, in Chrinos they could have a fear aura like greater mummys to simulate the "incite delirium" effect of their wickedness in WW.

That's true. We can have them in there if they're not forced. I'm wondering how that will work with custom subraces though. Like if a character switches on the alternate animations as an Ogre or something, I wouldn't want it to crash them or get them stuck in a crashing loop.

As far as the vampires go, I'm going to keep them as close as possible to their DnD counterparts. Same with Werewolves.

NWN Alternate Music: I don't have it, but I can probably dig it up.

I don't think swapping to the new styles will have any effect what so ever if you're using a non-standard race. I'm using the override and logged into the White Wolf server to see if my Chrinos form would crash it out and no dice. So all in all I think it would only benifit those who play the standard races, or at least a race using the standard race models... So it would work for vampires and even werewolves, but only in their humanoid form. It wouldn't effect Goblinoids, Ogres, Minotaurs, or any other monster race at all.

Like I said... Win win.
