What happens when I drop to 0 to -9 hit points? When you fall in combat, you'll begin to bleed to death at a rate of 1 hit point per round. Depending on your CON score, you could recover and stabilize back to 1 hit point before dying. Also, your companions can use healing to stop your bleeding and bring you back up before you die. What happens when my character dies?Scarn deals with dead characters in several ways: - First of all, everyone that dies drops any gold they are currently carrying, along with any healing kits and ressurection or raise dead scrolls. This, ideally, is so that the companions you are traveling with, have resources to bring you back to life with. Also, you'll drop one random item that you have equipped.
- If you're under level 21, and you die, you'll always have the option of respawning instantly back at your starting town. If you're under level 6, this is free. However, if you're level 6 or more, this comes at a price. You'll lose all XP you've earned on your current level.
- If you choose to wait rather than respawn, your companions can retrieve your corpse, and bring you back to a cleric in town to raise you.
